A$AP Ferg, whose birth name is Darold D. Brown Ferguson Jr., is an American rapper and songwriter from the Harlem neighborhood of NY. In 2009, he started to adapt an aggressive, trap style of hip-hop and was recognized by his school friend, A$AP Rocky, for his impeccable talent. The two rapped together and later joined the A$AP Mob. A$AP Ferg released his debut single, ‘Work’ in August 2012, and it was dubbed one of the best songs of 2012 by Complex Magazine. The video also quickly garnered over 2 million views! He went on the sign a record deal with RCA Records in 2013 and in 2014, Ferg appeared as a featured artist on the track “Hands on Me” by Ariana Grande, from her second album My Everything.
